SDR w/AKRA race cans tail tidy. £20.

Yup, after all the dicking around trying to find one that will work with the AKRA RACE cans, I stumbled upon this in my local bike shop.



It comes in BLACK too

Took a punt as it looked like it would fit and wouldnt you know....it did!

Still got to fit indicators on it but with a small plate it looks fine. It's not mega stylish but considering there are NO tidies out there that suit the race cans and the others vary from £85-£150 I'm well chuffed.

the 4 holes that the SDR number plate assembly (and therefore the aftermarket tail tidies) bolts to are on 2 separate planes...how did you get round that??

the rear most holes lined up with holes in the universal fixing plate so I just screwed it on with the OEM screws. The foremost holes dont line up but the 2 rear ones are enough to hold it on easily. The plate is flat but its held on securely....as I said it aint bespoke but you cant really see it.

I'll try n snap some pix this weekend and post em. For £20 you cant be fussy but I'm well pleased with it. The hanger is hinged in so you can adjust angle for max appeal and fitment

you'll prolly find one local or cheaper on ebay mate. I didnt buy mine from the link, it was just a lazy link.

You will need a smallish plate to get it to angle right....i think mine is a 7x5".

But for £20, who gives a rats ass.....you can mod it or butcher it to make it work and it wont matter

Oh....forgot to mention, I turned the bottom plate around to mount it too. It gave it a better fitment. You'll understand when you try it out

looks good, what about indicators tho, as that is the problem im faceing with finding a tail tidy to fit with the race cans
