SE QLD track day Morgan Park 9-10 June

G'day,

I know this is in the wrong forum but more people likely read this.
Myself and Aussieduke are looking to do Morgan park on 9-10th june I am weighing up if I do both days but will definitely be there for the track day on the 10th, will likely drive out the night before and stay in a hotel/caravan park unfortunately the trailer I am borrowing Is only setup for 1 bike or I would offer someone a lift. All are welcome the more the merrier.

The coaching day takes you through 3 levels on the day, so there's a lot to take in. Gates open at 7am for 8 am start. Coaching day 9th...$295 + $20 MA license

Friday 10th...track day....$190 + $20 MA license + $40 for unpowered covered garage, or $60 if you need powered site. You can share the garages 3 or 4 to a garage is cosy.
Otherwise you'll be out in the sun/rain ( hopefully not) unless you have a tent.

Hey guys, sounds like a great idea, but you may find yourselves on a very busy track. The 11th 12th June is a two day race meet for National Historic M/C racing.
Racing both days. As there will be bikes coming from all over the country for this meet the track days on 9 & 10 will be ideal for a lot of competitors to practice.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, however, if you wanted to test youselves against good riders on older bikes.....

Cant make the track day, but will be there on sunday for the races. Gunna be some beautiful old and very fast bikes there.

You're right the Friday track day always precedes a weekend of racing there. I've done a few there, and it never creates any problems. In fact is is grass roots old style pit next to the racers and talk your heads off!

As the whole show is run by the Motorcycle Sportsmen Club, ( a Fantastic group of people) unlike other track days it is focussed on education, fun, and camaraderie amongst like minded enthusiasts. Not focussed on money making !

This is the only venue I've found that PROVIDE and encourage lap timing devices, so that you can monitor your times for consistency, indicating good rhythm and race craft and improvement in times. Also cameras on the bikes....no problem.

Plus this will be my first time on the new extended track. Some really fast sweepers to complement the tight original track.
