Hey guys, was at my local today getting a new tyre fitted to my dirtbike & while there, asked for a quote on the first (600 mile) service + remapping with the latest Akra map......I know, I know, my scoot should have more miles on it by now, but I have been spending way too much time on the dirt bike...this year I promise to balance things out & plan to rack up many more miles on my SD....
Anyhow, back to my question at hand.....the service manager about 2 months back gave me a verbal quote of around $300 all in...now the price is $615 all in....I mean WTF!!!!!....the service manager is no longer there, so this to them is all 'hear say' on my part.
So I called up another local KTM dealership (about an hours drive away) & they quoted me around $300 all in.....same deal, 600 mile service + Akra map.
Anyone on the upper east coast (or wherever for that matter) care to share their service costs/experiences in this regard. I would love to support my local, but at the same time don't wanna get ripped off. I have the extended warranty, so want to have it serviced etc... through a KTM agent/dealership.
