Servicing costs

What do you guys pay for a service normally. Obviously this is going to differ by country, by the type of service and probably by dealer as well, but it would be interesting to find out some averages.

Having been used to riding Hondas in New Zealand, it was quite a shock to suddenly get hit with a bill for an eye-watering AU$636 for a 1000km service. That's about US$501 or GBP308. Which seems excessively expensive, even for a service that involved checking the valve clearances. I don't think I ever paid much more than NZ250 for any service on any of my Hondas.

So - how much you pay to get the bike pampered and preened? Would be especially keen to hear from any Aussies in SE QLD...
First service in Sweden , 1000 km's , USD 540.
Second service with my own oil , USD 270.

That should be criminal !
What do you mean 'should be'? It is bloody criminal.

First service = 90€

second service at 7500 km = 117€

seems normal to me

Hi mate,
I think I paid about AU$800 for my 15k major service but that was with some extra work done.. Where did you get it done? I'm a fan of Action on the GC and but now use their outlet in Moss St.. They're probably a little more expensive but they know their stuff..
