Mine didn't brought one either, but I got this one of ebay and I think it's complete ( please tell if you see anything missing pls )
About you hability...if you don't have a complete kit of tools this means you don't usually tinker around with mechanics...if it's like this I'd rather pay to someone competent to do the work.
I also prefer to do more miles but have 100% trust in the mechanic than pay less and not be satisfied about the work done to my bike
