Hey Bodge,

I have considered this previously but have not done it; I have opted to fit the side covers from the std exahsut instead.

I can say that:

1) I have shortened a R1 Titanium exhaust and found it quite easy to cut with a dropsaw and drill (use a small bit, very slow speed with high preasure and oil)

2) The problem with the Akro's is that the caps are not all rivets; there are some threaded 'nuts' in there to fit the KTM Hardparts carbon guards on. This is the trick part depending on how they are fitted.

If you do go ahead and try to shorten them, let us know (with photo's if you can) how these are fitted or fastened.

Cheers GregZ
Here is a link to german forum where someone has done that. There are also pictures.

I put those to my personal gallery. Hopefully you are able to see it.

Those havent even been shortened properly! You can hardly notice the difference between those and the full length Akras... I was thinking about shortening them around 10-20cm.
