Diamonddog,

Don't you know you can't wheelie an SV 'cause it will kersplode?

SVs - good if you're a fooking midget. Oh sorry - "little people" (?). They never could push my buttons with the amount of juice you can get out of one.

Regardless, I could ask where Diamonddog was 10 years ago when the rest of the world was already learning that SVs were grenading/siezing under the influence of wheelie ... Pointless.

Can't weelie on my SD - 'cause it has wheelie bars and the polished extended swingarm.

The ol' Superhawk, aka Firestorm. I'm surprised there's none on the SD since I can't ride it two miles without at least a weetle one.

lol...i'll hav to get the missus out with the camera tomorrow and try and get something decent! Fell off the bloody thing a few weeks ago messing around and dont want to repeat that again!
Im heading to watch some raceing today so will have the gobro on and will hopefully have some wheelie action on an actual duke Only thing is a good mounting spot with the tank not being well suited for it and on long trips does my neck in on my helmet.

Red ZX do you run the camera with the open back on you gopro or the waterproof cover for the best sound?
The open back is better for sound but can suffer from a lot of wind noise. I will be getting a wind-jammer for it (like the big fuzzy thing on boom microphones).
As a temp fix you can cut up a sponge and fix it to the open door on the inside. apparently it will cut a fair amount of wind noise but still let the good sound through.

I am plagued with wind noise at the moment.

CheesiePeeps Viking!

That's you. On another bike.

2009. Past the Graham High School Friday 3.30pm.
'sat. How you met the Wife?
Cracking pic viking...finally a 'duke!
I'm a bit surprised by mine, she loves the lift in first but not off the throttle so much in second? She's still standard engine wise so snatchy enough i find in first and makes me a bit nervous
Same one. That's the bike that's now my race bike. It was my road bike before I smashed it to bits and rebuilt it.

GIT?
Just waiting for ''Sabre'' to post now .. ......and that will be the end of this post......come on Ginge you cannot let Gordon have it all his way

Still no pictures, but another video that a couple members asked for:
Awesome vid dude, definitely an advantage watching some one doing it on basically the same bike. TIme to get my clutch on?

Went to the races on the weekend, chucked the gopro on, cool red lights going , pulled some nice wheelies, rode through some awesome roads, got home only to find the battery was dead by the time I started the bike F@#K

Well Ginge certainly like an audience. He likes to make it all the way down to Hall Bends and the black flag that's waiting for him there.

Pedbot is really fun to watch, as well as his power wheelies on exit he often has the rear sliding.

There were some awesome slow motion shots of him leaving the penultimate corner at Jerez a few years ago. Using every inch of the curb, rear sliding and front lifting. That is a stupidly fast corner.

For the record, I really like the picture of Viking's power wheelie. It's not that high but the whole picture says commitment.
No picture but here's a clip at least;

Surely the one wheelie that's missing from this thread is Biaggi on his YZR500 at Brno.
Someone, DP ,can post it up here I'm sure
Dont think there are any actual photos of that one, only fuzzy stills from the film cameras
Bit like this one from Bautista...

I once fell backwards with my supermoto, now I know the limit
Damage was repaired with 80 euros so it wasn't a too expensive lesson

Need to shoot some wheelie pics anytime soon, they're getting better looking, easier to pull and longer lasting
Don't think I have one on the SD yet, but got this one though:

What a proper SHIT bike, that is...
Do know you made it on to the August Fail vid on YouTube Fordan?

Yup back brake and throttle open so she don't slam down.

I'm going to do that when I grow up.

Fresh from today - here's my first (pictured on a Duke, not my first wheelie..)

Why is the picture that big?? Is there a way for it to show normally?
OK, think I got it now..

Image

And another one..

Thought I would bump this thread back up, might not be a SD, but still fun none the less.

My old mate mr ktm was pretty good. .. Don't know what he is doing these days though

This is a too-good-to-die thread so I'll put life to it, hoping others will follow

Oh, yes, these are not SD wheelies.. Pardon.

It's from the new Kawasaki Z800 review.

That last one is the best! I love photo's like those, the crossed up bars make it look so bad-ass!
nice
I wish I could wheelie!
If you can't wheelie your Superduke you might want to take up needle point....
The only picture I have of my doing a wheely on my superduke is when i was full on squidding one time picking up my bike last minute with only a helmet >_> don't feel like getting flamed LOL
I'd be careful admitting you were "full on squiding". Most of us are older and hhmhmmhmm, more responsible/wiser and do not associate with squids.
I'll play. My SDR

Pretentious?.....let's go for a ride

If you re-read my post I think you'll see my response was a little "tounge in cheek". I mentioned us "older and hhmmmhmhmhm (clearing throat) wiser" riders in jest. We all ride the SD for the kind of maniac it turns even the most level headed of individuals into.

No slander intended...
You should come ride with me, Kowekiller, and omky before I move to New York. We're all in SoCal

You know, it seems like it's mostly older people on the superdukes... I feel pretty young riding mine at 24 compared to others I know

and just to liven things up, I'm open for jokes and shit-talking haha ;D

Image
Come on John...
Show it up bro..
Don't even try n keep up David...
WTF...N.Y.????
Yeah I kind of just decided a month ago that I was moving to NYC this summer haha. We gotta get a couple rides in before I leave buddy
Hey Bass you riding bare back again?
