Here's mine. Got this 26 years ago. Dozy woman pulled out of a petrol station without looking. Straight into her right wing, launched skywards right into car coming the other way. Hit the top of the windscreen/roof at about 60mph. Lots of internal injuries, lots of bits pulled out, sewn up and pushed back in.

PS. Since then I'm shit at sit ups

i have a 2" square red mark on my upper thight where they took the skin for my left foot, i have metal bones in my foot after a taxi pulled out on me and i got dragged down the road by my heelplate on my SZR660 yam.
3 months in a wheel chair and a left foot like Jesus post Easter scars.
i also broke my back at the Mini Carousel at the Nurburgring after going in a bit hot after waving to my boss as i overtook him in his Audi TT.

Bic thats a mighty fine effort

Apart from a scar on my knee from playing football, I have no biking scars.

However I once was a promising up-and-coming foot model two weeks prior to the Crocs photoshoot a nasty kitesurfing accident put an end to my dreams.

Image

Would have been better if I had broken it TBH, and yes that is a lot of fluid in my foot.
I've been lucky and managed to avoid any injuries when throwing myself down the road, my only photo is this and it was only a flesh wound....

BIC, tell us the truth that was your six pack impant that went wrong wasnt it?
Sadly i've collected a few colieded with a tractor in 2003 then an ex mate hit me in the back on his R6,not my best day out riding.
Turns out my mate had no tax or insurance, his family blamed me for the accident (hence ex mate) The only good to come out of all this after a 5 year court case which i won against the tractor driver, my ex mate got nothing I'd gladly give the money back now though in return for my health

Ok, second submission.

Approaching traffic lights, filtering through stationary traffic towards the front of the cue. Three cars from the front the passenger door of a car on the right opened up four foot in front of me. Nothing I could do.

Two fingers on the brake helped not one bit. Anchored on but no good. In slow motion the door opened, the bike sailed on, the door edge connected with my foot and crushed it into the bike. The door continued to open, the bike continued onwards and my foot got guillotined between the two.

From 20mph to nothing in about half a second. There was a dull thud and me screaming with pain. But no bones broken Just a lot of pain for a few weeks.

So actually a good advert for Alpine star SMX boots.

Bike was a VFR Honda and it sustained some weird damage as it got smashed into the car on my left, it never rode straight again. But then it got stolen two weeks later so I never had to fix it. Hated that bike anyway, good engine, but hated the linked brakes, hated the soft suspension, hated other Honda riders nodding at me.

Got paid out and bought myself a Superduke!!!

So really, this is what got me to where I am.

OK, going up against Sabre here....... A worthy opponent, I've had to dig through my old pictures.

35 Original stitches to the stomach that split open and spilt my guts out when they took the stitches out.

16 deep tension stitches to stomach to fix it all up again.

Smashed ankle so two titanium pins in foot.

Cracked kneecap.

Destroyed anti-cruciate ligaments - repaired with carbon fibre, (unsuccessfully)

Little holes in shin are impact wounds, pics don't show the exit wounds...much worse, many stitches. That was bits of the offending drivers bumper shattering on impact against my leg.

All in all a lesson in not to ride with jeans and trainers like we all did back then. Stupid boys. (I was 20 years old)

Not the best saturday i've ever had,but definitely one i'll never forget Luckily i was wearing leathers, boots, gloves and helmet without em i'd have been fooked
Since then i've picked up the odd flesh wound off roading on my XR but no breakage's i wear as much body armour (knox) as i can get on,but even then you still get flesh wounds

Left elbow joint made me wince a bit the dirt is like concrete round here in the summer (2008)

Right the last bit of the jigsaw, the red tractor,i only hit the wheel which took me off my bike then got clobbered in the back by a red/white R6 which is somwhere in the grass on the left ( you can just see it),which is where we both ended up. My bike carried on without me

That Gixxer looks like it came off beta than you mate!
Right Sabre.

You win.

I concede!!

But the main thing is we carried on riding. And survived. And can have a laugh about it. Respect mate.

Nothing would stop me riding bikes.

What happened to your links Plipton?

we all have our fair share of war stories, just great to see we can be here to tell them..!!

Sadly we all have others who we know who have not come out as fortunate as us, thoughts are always with them.....
