Been a member for a little while. I enjoy reading more than posting I guess. Reminds me of the VFR forum I was on some time back.
I've had my SD for a couple of months now. I reckon It's the bike that just keeps on giving. It is taking a little getting used to.
I've sort of had to change the way I ride after coming off a Z1000.
I'm starting to get the hang of how to ride it but the thing seems to want to slide out of corners under acceleration.
The first time it happened I soiled myself. The second time wasn't so bad.
I am used to a z1000 which would have seen me highside under similar
circumstances but this is (now that I'm becoming comfortable with it)
quite smooth and controllable.
I'm not talking about full on motard slides. It's just enough that I know
the back's out a little.
There is a new Industrial estate not far from where I live.
I did a heap of laps around there and on one second gear left hander,
there are now a bunch of skinny tyre marks about 20mtrs long.
Felt quite proud pointing them out to my Wife.
Funnily enough, she didn't seem too impressed.
Anyway.........I was wondering if this might be a genetic trait of the SD?
Does anyone else find their bike slides?
For the record, the bike still has the Perelli Diablo tyres.
Oh...Jehadjoe. Is that your Daughter in your avatar?
I just showed my Wife and she described her as looking like an Angel.
Thanks John.
