#5I`d love to ride a Brutale 1078RR to find out if it really has improved as much as is rumoured, otherwise see what the proposed update to the SD turns out like.
Don`t like the look of the Venom either,if what has been seen so far is definitive.
Have had enough of sportsbikes for various reasons so they wont figure on my shopping list.

#12Don't get me wrong, I'd love an RC8, but only if I lived by Brands or the Nurburgring. ... I got into nakeds to slow down - well, ride quickly more smoothly, and at legal speeds - but the 1190 engine won't assist me there, and top speed would render the bikini fairing of the SD a joke - unless they make it with one less gear? LOL. ...The venom fairing solution is ugly too.
Give me the 125bhp engine from the SDR with less snatchy fuelling and I'll be happy.
The standard SD has an ugly rear end that now looks dated. KTM need to redesign the rear to look better with a dual seat with SDR lines.

#13150 rwhp would be an absolute hoot on this bike, I would hope for at least 90 ftlbs of torques,
joe would never have to go over 100 mph to use the brute. to hoot on the brute.

#15All that said, I am wanting to try some dual-sporting. I will be looking at a new KLR650 around the end of the year.... Price point is good. Good to-and-fro for work with the mpg it gets. I can get out to Death Valley or points north for some exploration. Sooner or later I'd like to get on a Katoom Adventure, but not going to commit until I know it's something I'm going to really put the time into.
