I looked but did not see this before



It's a flash site so I am not sure how to capture the pics....
I like it, but instead of the 690 mask I think the SD mask would work better.

Wow....sexy. There's only 2' things that bike needs.

1. An SD mask.
2. A blacked-out radiator.

That exhaust looks SICK.

Hand-guards look ridiculous. And really it has the same problems as the new Aprilia Tuono - it's just a stripped down sportsbike and looks as much - the elements don't hang together very well. Please people, this is not the 1200 SD you have all been waiting for. If KTM offered only this type of thing they would be falling well short of what they could really deliver with a bit more focus and effort.

Also it has Continental stickers on.

Am I the only one that thinks it looks boggin?

The rear half looks good, but the front . IMO it needs the lower cowl extend something done with the radiator (blacked/covered with an upper cowl), the headlight mask needs changing as do the intakes (smaller/more hidden ones) and why o why all the stickers.

If the new SD came out looking like that, I'd go nowhere near it.

But thats just my opinion.

IMHO -

The front mask looks fookin horrible, it needs an 08 SD mask pulled down and back onto the forks with air scoops built built into it on flexable inlets.

Fook the hand guards off!

The front rad needs to to be half the height (so make it double core) and ceramic coat it black!

Fook the decals off!

Apart from that, fookin good effort

IF there was a motobox that fitted this and you got rid of the ram air would you lose much bhp?

purely for aesthetic reasons.

sure there are things that could make the bike look better, and that's all up to opinion... but I think it's pretty sweet. When I watched that guy crash at the KTM track day on a 2011 RC8R, that's the first thing that I thought of... It's sweet to see something similar to what I was day dreaming of.

Hmmmm. If the front mask was less protrusive as in pulled backwards it would look better. Plus if the exhaust cowl didn't cover the whole exhaust.

That radiator would not look out of place on a truck............ must make a lot of heat that 1190 lump!
