standard indicators/flash speed become irregular?

Hi guys, 07 SD. is running fine but the flash speed on the standard indicators have become irregular. seams to have become faster but goes back to right speed for a few secs then speeds up again also the head light has started to flicker a little. I am sure it never used to. any ideas? sure someone has been here and done it.

Reads to me like you have an intermittent somewhere ... and likely an "open" (versus a short, as you're not cooking fuses, right?).

I always look at connectors and sockets (lamp) first ... 99.999% of all electrical problems, are mechanical.

all fuse and relays are fine, nothing blown. guess i will start with the indicator wires and work back. these have leaked in the past but never played up.

Check your battery voltage engine off and running, this might indicate a battery on the way out or even regulator problems.
Better check just to make sure. Also have a look at the wiring as suggested and connectors.

Indicators on my bike went crazy when battery negative connection was loose. While engine off they were flashing normally but with some revs were flickering double speed.

bugger I spoke to soon, its not sorted it. battery is just under 1 yr old. always on smart charger over wkend and used all wk. i'm from Romford, just down the road from Hyside. thats UK

i got 12.5v with just ignition on. engine not running. I got 13.4 with the engine running(tick over). while engine was running I gave it throttle and the voltage drops to 12.6 volt or just over. beginning to think ktmguy could be on to it what you think

been searching the site here, came up with this but the guy dosen't say what it was in the end.
