Still Leaking Oil!!

One of the most frequent causes of oil seepage or leakage is due to cleaning of the screens during an oil change - they must be replace perfectly - in my case one was not sealed perfectly and it continue to leak until I could get it fixed properly- unfortunately it's difficult to locate the precise source of the leak -

So, if you have recently changed oil and cleaned the screens you might check on that being the culprit - Mine was a royal pain to fix -

I had the same oil on the lower left down the wiring loom after the first service on the 05 SD, after close inspection the culprit was the nuffy who pulled the hose out the bottom of the oil tank and let the oil run down the side into the battery and wiring etc.
needless to say that was the last time I let them touch my bike.

hi...in my case it turned out to be thec early stages of a failing clutch slave cylinder leaking its mineral oil.....i thought initially it was chain lube....unfortunatly not...... the part cost £100.
