Still love the thing...

with all of these recent departures from SD ownership... i just rolled the beast out of its lair and parked it in the drive. i have to go out tonite and just rolled it out and put it up on its rear stand kind of as an incentive to the ride.
i did what i find myself always doing, i walked around it taking it in. its coming up on 5 years now of ownership, almost 30k miles, and i still get off on it! it still just looks right to me.
the only other bike that still does that to me is my 748 which lives in my living room i love looking at that as well every time i come down the stairs. sometimes i just lean up against the counter top and gaze at it.

The Superduke is a timeless classic here in the states. I'll keep mine for ever and ever. I hope some day my kid ask me to take his prom date to the ball on the Superduke...he's 17 months old. I love them both!

You know, I feel the same way. I thought about selling my SDR a while ago but there's something special about this machine. It's far from perfect but it has a hole lot of character - something that's missing from many bikes these days. I've decided to keep it and step by step make it as perfect as I can get it.

I know exactly what you mean m8. I am still madly in love with my SD. It's been 3 and 1/2 years and 38k miles and I don't think I will ever sell her as Iong as I can afford to keep her, which is hopefully never.

Took mine out to Matlock the other day on a hoon around. Still not one bike there I'd rather have, not one bike that makes me want to sell and buy something else. Out of the hundreds of bikes in the town, only me and one other owner! Unique, special and so many laughs per gallon of fuel. Have to see how the 2013 SD makes me feel, I may be tempted, but not at this moment!

Shame, would have been awesome. Although having a bike in your living room already is pretty awesome.

You sir, are living the dream! My gf would never let me put a bike inside the house, and certainly would not let me rev it indoors!

Ahh I am very lucky in that my SDR lives in the lounge room. Sitting on the couch watching TV, it is just a slight turn of the head and there it is in all it's glory.

Nice easy house to get a bike inside of. Just a nice wide ramp I lay down into the doorway.

I do love the sound of the SDR when revved inside.

Once had a Brand new Red Ducati 748 a week before registration. I daren't ride it.

I kept it in the house just at the bottom of the stair.(I had no garage and a V.small house).

Anyways from the top of the stair looking down. This bike looked like a Supermodel.(I wanted to S**g it.)

Years have past and am now, an Ultraproud owner of a 2009 spec. white SDR.

Now I keep it in a hut. (Same house.) But! I just click on this Forum and I can see my bike. I don't need to go outside.

F**kin' Amazin'.

I just want to kick its C**t in.

KTM SDs aren't Sexy. They are "Hooligans" That's it!

Will never sell my 996S or SDR.

If I could get my bike in my place I would. Riding up stairs is still beyond my skill level
