#3I was wondering bout that - has anyone attempted to protect th lower fairing and oil tank against stone chipping?

#10Went to Gear4offroad today, they took one look at my engine casing and told me that they would have to ask KTM regarding this issue being a warranty job.
Apparently if you actually use your bike during winter, and you get a stone chip in the paint on this cover you should expect it to eventually flake all the paint off!!
This is because it's made of magnesium.....I pity all those guys that have bought Marchesini wheels....unless of course the paint on them is a bit thicker?
Lets hope they come back to me with a 'yes, that's fine we'll do it on your next service, KTM agree the paint should be a bit harder wearing on a part of the engine that is exposed to the road right behind the front wheel'....
