Storing a SuperDuke

I'll be disappearing for a couple of months in the near future and need to lay up the SD whilst I'm away. I'll be leaving it on a trickle charger, leaving it on a rear paddock stand (haven't got a front one), coating the exposed bits in ACF50 and keeping it dry in the garage. Anyone got any other bits of useful advice?

depends how long she'll be sitting, and the climate... fuel stabiliser might be a good idea. If stored till spring and it gets pretty cold over winter, i'd take the battery out, leave it indoors on t.charger. I also like to clean and lube the chain before putting her away. If you have untreated concreate floor in the garage, and not planning on getting the front stand, i'd park the front tyre on something - maybe a piece of plywood, anything really - just to get the rubber of the cement.
if you went to track and running water/waterwetter, do not forget to replace it with coolant before parking her for winter!!! (only if stored below freezing pt)

Put it on its side stand then , and get some carpit off cuts x 2 deep and put them under your wheels , and that will be beter for it than one padock stand puting presher on the frunt tyer , it will be fine .

dont forget to cover it up with a breatherbule cover as well ,

they can sit for munths in stealers shough rooms on there side stands so why not in your shed .

my poor bike gets stuffed in the shop on concrete floor with the alarm imobilizer unplugged its kept above freezing ish all winter and it starts runs fine I do use 92 octane fuel and have not disconected my batt yet for storage

errr ? smoke ,I live in north eastern bc canada familliar with winter I have a tiny ceramic heater in my shed just for the car and bike ,also the tank of premium hi octane fuel seems to have a better shelf life in larger volumes ,im not saying tabalizer is bad just that I have found that for short term storage I dont need it with good gas in the tank ,just kick the tyres and kick it in the ribs lol let er buck

i know.... i'm just jelaus... last 2 of our winter here were a real bitch, i mean like 7 months of bitter cold and insane amounts of snow... would be great for skiing, if we had any real mountains around here....
i love BC, nicest province in my opinion, i love rockies, the ocean, climate, people are more relaxed too (lot's of relaxing herbs around, ). i visit from time to time, considered moving there many times, but work always keeps me in Ontario...Another great advantage of BC - you are about as far away from Q as you can be, you probably hear mandarin more often then french
