I sawa post from "mike4uk" about using S4R bars on his SD. I asked for some more details from him like clearance for the tank and switch gear position (they come with pre-drilled holes I believe) but he has not replied to that post as yet.. anyone else done this ??

I had a look at an S4R on the weekend and sitting on the bike the bend of the bars does look like a good compromise..

Only problem is the price .. Oz Ducati dealers want $340 for them .. they are Magura taperwall bars so good quality but suffer the usual unwarranted price hike that all spare parts get slapped with. If they were cheaper I'd just buy some and try them but not at $340.. bit rich for a maybe.

If anyone has any info on fitting them to a SD I'd appreciate it!

Bretski.
OD, taller risers for me makes the distance from the front end further, something I do not want or like, (wish the fork tubes came up 2" higher).

clip ons are still an option, (head lamp mask leaves no room for the clamps), you would have a very limited turning radius ... also do not like.

Bretski, thare are many options in the dirtbike world, they currently have a bigger bar with accompanying clamps,

tapered walls are the standard of the industry today in dirtbikes, for the set up I am speaking of it was a couple hundred,

risers clamps and bars.... Renthal FAT BARS,,, summat. all different configs but no predrilled holes of course.
