stupid kickstand

I keep a nervous eye on my SD when it's parked outside the office in high winds. I do not trust that stand - probably stems from owning a Ducati in the past and still having the fairing panel to prove it. I'm going to grind a millimeter or so off the stop to allow the stand to come further forward when it's down. It should also mean that the bike isn't quite so upright.

07 ZX6R has a near vertical side stand as well so its not just KTM....

As an aside, does anyone else on here have massive trouble getting their toes in the gap between frame and stand to actually get it lowered. Its a pain in the arse.

Or is it just me
