#4installed a shorai battery recently. it weights 2 lbs and much smaller than stock. used the supplied foam to fit it in the box nicely. battery is placed there for a reason. you want that weight low and closer to the front.

#5I don't argue the placement, just the huge pain in the ass that it is getting the battery box cover replaced with all the wiring in the way.

#7battery always measure @ 13.1x volts now. starter seems a little stronger but I've never had an issue with the OEM hot(105F) or cold (32F).
lithium iron is suppose to hold its charge for long periods but I always plug in a battery tender during the 'cold' months while I ride bikes with fairings.
