Let me start by saying, I really like my new Super Duke. Being new to KTM ownership, I have questions regarding the warranty.
From reading the owners manual, I interpet that if I do my own maintenance I will void the warranty, is this correct?
Does this apply to all KTMs or just the 08 Super Dukes, and is it just the US or all countries?
Has anyone done their own maintenance, then had a problem with KTM honoring the warranty? More specifically, with major repair coverage.
I've been riding motorcycles for more than 30 years, and have always done my own work. It's not so much the cost of having the dealer do the work, as it is that I'm not comfortable with someone else working on my bike.
I certainly don't want to risk voiding my warranty, and then have something major not be covered. I'm 150 miles away from my first service and not sure which way to go.
