We had a thread on "motorcycle character" on another motorcycling forum I frequent. This marvellous description was posted by a young bloke on a Duke II, but I thought it was perfect to describe the Superduke relationship too. (I have edited it, as the language is pretty full fat.)

I may be alone here, but my definition of character revolves around an inaudible conversation I have with the motorcycle every time I ride it.

My only experience is with the KTM, so imagine the KTM speaking in a gruff, manly tone in the following few conversations.

Nick: Alright, machine, let's go somewhere. Start, ya bastard.

The KTM: *cough* *wheeze*.... Just f**king with you. Let's roll.

...

Nick: You green c**t, I want to turn, fast, now.

The KTM: F**k yes! I love turning. If you f**k this up though, I'll kill you.

...

Nick: You lovely green c**t, that was amazing. Now, I'm going to screw on the throttle. If you don't wail like a banshee and hurtle me towards the next corner, I'll take to you with a can of pink spraypaint.

The KTM: Sure thing, asshole. Hell, I couldn't get any louder unless you gave me a megaphone.

...

Nick: I f**king love you, you son of a bitch. But it's time to stop. You can do that, right?

The KTM: It's my goal in life to one day send you flying over the bars. I''ll laugh, and you'll cry, and all will be well.

How would you all describe your relationship with your bike?
Reading you post is like downing a sixer.
