Went to my first trackday this year yesterday. A bit rusty in the beginning but picking up speed as I went along. When there was 3 min left of the last round and I was going into a long righthander before the start and finnishing strait, I see something white in the corner of my left eye and before I know it he cuts in right before me. I break and goes down...

Breaklever, clutchlever and steeringbar is bent, footbreak and gearshifter is bent/ brooken. Headlightmask and both the radiator thingies are broken. The tank has got some serious scratches and three of four indicators are broken and finally my carbonfiber slipon is broken...

Probably no riding for the next 3-4 weeks [/img]
Sorry to hear it. I hope you are OK. Did you get revenge?
If my insurance company caught the slightest whiff that I had been at a track day, they would invite me into the office and incinerate my policy in front of me.
As long as there´s no timing and you´r not competing or practicing for a competition it´s ok by my insurancecompany, it goes under braking and stering practice

will see if I can get some nice parts, rearsets would bee nice.

I can strongly recomend R&G crashbungs, they and my carbon enginecover took most of the damage in that area.

jp, for you. look closely the KTM axle sliders did not withstand the off, R&G did good.

2 crashes in 7 months and I never did file a claim, fook um, I will take care of it meself.

don't get the wrong idea, I have only been down 4 times in almost 40 years of constant riding.

wow glad i put the r&g's on now. thx joe
Thanks Joe Cuervo, I see it all.

Has the rear axle slider ripped off?

4 in 40, not bad my friend.

Sliders look like a good investment to me. Has anyone used TOP BLOCK sliders?

Yes, doowop has them, he is a Frenchman that lives in Denver CO. USA, quite affordable and look very durable also, (an SD brother too).

He comes in here occasionally and looks around but rarely posts. We are buds, he was gonna move to tulsa ok, but the job deal fell through,,,, crap thee!

Yes the KTM axle slider just popped like a piece of candy, I love the clean look of the topblock's.

I have to brag a little, I rocked that house you see with my own hands, with lots of help from good friends,

the front is spectacular with 5 different colors of stone, lots of tequila (the blue kind) in it.... heheh

Was riding casually in busy traffic on Friday evening doing no more 20mph and as I approach an entrance/exit some stupid mare pulls out literally as I'm passing her and drives into my left foot breaking 3 of my toes. Then hitting the ground I break my collar bone. fook sake. Not too sure about the bike, think the radiator and left side engine casing are both split.

No work or riding for at least 4 weeks.
Nasty....

Hope you have a quick recovery and your SD doesnt take too much to get repaired.

Good old S.M.I.D.S.Y.'s, bunch'o'cunts
Yeah same old story.

Luckily it happened 250 metres from our only KTM dealer!
Hope your ok mate. Hope the bitch was insured!
Where there's blame, there's a claim! No work = compensation + broken bones = more compensation.

Hope you both make a speedy recovery.

Always shit to hear about this sort of thing. Last off I had I bust my collar bone and it was extremely painful. Hope you're up and about soon enough. Commiserations.
that's bad luck mate, hope you make a speedy recovery.
i can tell you from personal experience, NOTHING helps a 3rd party claim like mentioning your sex life is suffering!
Cheers guys.

Just back from seeing the bike and it's not pretty. Here's a list of damage off the top of my head...

radiator
oil tank
bars
ASV clutch lever
tank!
left footpeg & gear lever & shift rod thingy
left rear panel
left engine casing
headlight mask
both mirrors
aaaand frame is bent into swingarm where the left peg mounts - not good

This is the only picture the dealer took for now which explains the 3 broken toes. I was wearing boots but they were very old and soft Sidi rain evos.

Might be a write off as the thing is 2005 and 25200 miles which is high for Jersey.

new bike time
sorry for your troubles and hope it all turns out ok for you.... that gear shifter is nicely bent, you think they might be able to straighten it
Anyone fancy selling me a SD then? There's only 6 or 7 over here and one slow '07 SDR.
Sorry to hear mate hope you heal up fast!

Wow. That SUCKS, dude. If the frame is even just scratched, it would be considered a total loss here in Cali...

Just like the others have said, Hollywood the fook out of it & get what's comin to you.

Get better soon & get yourself a new steed!
Sue, sue, sue. people need to learn to pay attention. she was probably talking on the phone when she hit you.
Heal quick

I know someone who is a mate of the white ones owner, if that makes sense. Want me to have a word?
I can go one better, I know the owner.

It's not really been used a great deal to be honest.
