SuperDuke got me 3 points :(

Right thats it only had the bike 5 minutes and its getting me in trouble

Why is it so difficult to get a superduke to do 30 mph ? ok i was expecting it to be difficult in town but its a dam monster im getting to be a clutch expert now however that might not save my licence.

I got done by a camera ive known about for years 1st one in the limehouse link arghh stupid me

Took the baffles out of the exhaust and it seemed to run better for a while but now its back to its choppy self that is part of the attraction of course however would be nice if it could be well behaved now & again

See i reckon its this dam R thing if only id bought a normal Superduke i wouldnt have a £60 fine & 3 points now

Did you get the letter through yet, you never know you might be lucky or are they all digital now.

I got one too recently, not on the bike but on a camera on a local road that I should know about, luckily I wasn't going too fast, I did the speed awareness course instead, more expensive but you know it's a 3 point cushion against a ban should I really go nuts one day

A mate of mine got done 3 times by the same camera in a week cause it was new and he never saw it, couldn't believe it when he got all the letters through the post.

Someone I know........a 'friend' of mine.... ........decided to ignore the letter asking for them to admit to being the rider and accepting a SP30 and £60 fine. After several months nothing further had happened. Then it happened again, a lapse in concentration and another letter. Which was also ignored. and got away with.

The moral of the tale is that maybe, in the London area at least, there is just too many speeders and the system cannot cope.

(This friend had 9 points on their license and had nothing to loose really at the time)

I'm truly amazed that in the 18 months I've owned my SD I've not got a ticket. I seem to have an amazing sense to spot cameras just in time. Sure a lot of it is pure fluke though.

I've not got caught by cameras for over two years now, I think that they have raised the threshold for NIPs to a higher speed limit on many roads. I've definitely accidentally gone through cameras at over the "speed limit" plus 10% plus 2mph, (or is it 1mph?) and not got flashed or a letter.

Never given a speeding ticket im afraid, im not traffic(dont plan to be) and dont have the "training" to use the ProLaser and my GP car dont have speed equipment in.

I believe ACPO guidelines for prosecution of a speeding ticket are 10% + 2mph but know of people who have had to do the seminar/points option for doing 33mph for example from a van with a man in.

Not 100% sure on what automatically would count as a ban not something that really interests me, but as you guys have said getting caught 90+ on a motorway or a road I would be papping myself with a possible ban.

On another note I have been pinged twice by a pro laser by the same traffic cop, on the same road at the same time of night.

You would have thought she would know what a Police car looks like
