With ebike, my 950 SM was £531 Fully comp, kept on private fenced land off-road in N16 London... To replace with a Superduke... they want another £300 for the remaining 4 months of the policy!!! ...WTF?

Carole Nash are having problems insuring me at all (not garaged in North London) and the only quites are coming in over a grand.

Any advice?

I'm 41, 4 yrs NCB, been riding 23 years, no accidents or convictions.
Mine was £250 fully comp from Bennetts. Did it on line no problems, worth a try. My old insurer Insure wouldn't entertain an SD.

Move mate. Buy a house with a garage somewhere other than north London. I used to live in N22 with bike parked off road on a private drive and I couldn't get insurance for anything over 600cc period. Had to keep my bike in a friends lock up in bloody Hendon.
Then I moved to a place in Potters Bar with a garage and suddenly Zx12R was
£376 fully comp.
Besides if you move out of London you won't have to subsidize wanker Ken and all his wanker mates in their glass Wanking tower
Try

My renewal came through at £240, I had a look on 'tinternet at one of the price comparison sites and got a quote of £165. Went back to my insurers (Bike Team) and told them I'd been quoted £150. After a bit of a haggle I got them to £160 with £150 excess 40 years old, garaged bike, no claims, 3 points, in Devon. I figured that a £150 excess makes putting crash bungs on pretty pointless - any spill will do that much damage, even with bungs. I've been with Bike Team for a few years now and they seem pretty good, willing to do a deal too.
