Thanks for all your support guys, I really appriciate it. Wake up some days and just stare at the driveway...thinking.....where the hell is my bike.

The rear wheel was chained, but not anchored. The alarm (factory) was set, both Imobiliser and motion sensor. I was in my flat when the bike got lifted and didn't hear a peep.

I did see a van parked next to my driveway, but didn't think much off it cos some of the neighbours are doing some building work at the mo. I'm guess that was used in the theft. Went around the neighbours the day after the theft and asked if anyone saw anything, but nada.

The best the police could do give me a crime ref number, even through I begged them to send down their CSI unit. I'm pretty sure CCTV would have picked up the MotherF*s as the van was facing down the hill where I live and must have headed in to Richmond town center, but I guess they don't have resouces to wast on just a bike....

Does anyone know where I can get a new 05 model from....I guess the ones there where available are all gone now...

All 05 models sold, but if you keep watching ebay and Autotrader, very low mileage ones keep appearing now and then.
I bought my 05 last Aug with 1771 miles on it
Sold my 10,000 mile one to my mate
Why an 05?
I think a tracker is useful should the worst happen and they actually get the bike away. It's in no way a deterrent though as you can't let them know it has one fitted or it gets ripped out and binned. A good place to hide one would be in the airbox on a SD. Last place they'd look and you'd hopefully have tracked the bike down by then.
Sorry to hear about your loss

I had a thought a while ago while seeing that "partner tracker" advert, it basically tracks your partner (or anyones mobile) how well it tracks I have no idea, as in road/area/town etc.

Why cant you stick a cheap mobile in your bike on a charging system from the battery and use the tracking of the mobile if it were to ever be stolen?

Or is that too simple?

With technology these days I dont know why a cheap version of a tracker has not been designed.........

Maybe this is where I can make my millions
£49.00 isn't too bad considering what they used to charge years ago when the first car trackers came out.
I thought they were more expensive than that? not bad then really.

However you would laugh if you ever saw how annoying it is to find a tracked vehicle in a cop car just arrows and its not as easy as just following it!

Dont know why they cant just pull it up on map

Thieving fookers! I'm sorry to hear of your bike mate, my supermoto got stolen, my first bike 4 weeks after I bought it!

You have all got me thinking again about trackers, SD is chained down to an anchor and I have a security camera on the front of the house (the rear is a shear drop - although im sure they would find a way)

If anyone gets one, please do a review!

For you guys who might be interested in one of those trackers, i looked on the sellers feedback (cheapest china add) and found someone from the uk who had just bought one, then i contacted them through e-bay to ask if he had tried it out and what he thought of it....he said the only problem he had was that you had to set the timezone for your country or it would give a different location, and once he done that it worked spot on.

Any update on these trackers? Anyone else fitted one to an SD?
