I copied this from a german(?) SD forum (I think). Hope they'll forgive me for posting it here . In german, but you get the point (short story, 1.200euro for a SDR, 4.176euro to rebuild....think it's 07 so same engine):

SD Listenpreis: € 12.498,00
SDR Listenpreis: € 13.698,00

Differenz: € 1.200,00

Kosten der serienmäßigen SDR Teile:

- CNC Gabelbrücke [18659] € 289,00
- Lenkungsdämpfer [18661] € 308,00
- Anbausatz [18660] € 173,90
- Hitzeschutzblech Karbon rechts [16881] € 154,60
- Hitzeschutzblech Karbon links [16882] € 154,60
- Abdeckung Fußraste Karbon rechts [16873] € 59,40
- Abdeckung Fußraste Karbon links [16873] € 59,40
- Sturzpad vorne [16599] € 39,55
- Sturzpad hinten [16600] € 39,55

Summe: € 1.278,00

Dann wäre da noch das andere Federbein und die andere Gabel

- Racing Federbein [18872] EUR 1159,05
- Racing Gabel [18873] EUR 1739,05

Summe: € 2.898,01

Macht zusammen € 4.176,01

i paid £400 more for the R so not alot of money when spending near 9k? i agree i tested the sd because no dealer would or had a demo R the sd is a cracking bike but the SDR swung it for me a great toy to have in the garage and i think the sdr will hold its money better than the SD? the SDR will do everything i want it to grin factor on a sunday morning and i am doing a 3000 mile trip on it in June.
