The title is more dramatic than reality. My brother-in-law and I set out to ride 300miles/482 K today. When we started it was only 45F/7C we headed north towards the Pennsylvania boarder (less law enforcement) and some really kick ass twisties to tear up. I was on my Duke, Michael on the CBR. After the first 75/120K we switched up, life is good, feeling the difference in power deliveries and handling made me dream of what it must be like to work for one of the rags and get this oppurtunity on a daily basis. We dodged back and forth over the Maryland and Pennsylvania boarders for another 75 and switched up again. Thats when I really noticed the difference between the Dukes and CBRs power, my Duke felt like a locomotive on steriods when rolling on the throttle and it made me realise just how comfortable the riding position is on the KTM. We diced out for awhile now that temps raised up quite a bit and the tyres were nice and hot, great to be alive!!!! My Duke saw 139mph/228Kph and I will say it was easier to go faster on the CBR151mph/243kph, for the shear fact of riding position and there was a slight wind beating us around. After 2 more switch ups between the bikes we accomplished our goal, had a blast and came home safe ticket free and smiling. Don't hate me cause I have a windscreen IMO it helps with the lines of the bike!!!!
