#9I have an SDR, and I love it in every situation I've had it in. My prior bike is a Monster S2R800, and while it's sprung softer than the SDR and has a softer seat, it's nowhere near as comfortable and is sluggish handling in comparison. When I bought the R, I was torn between it and the standard SD. I think I'd have been happy with either, but bought the R because of the engine differences, the steering damper, and the way the tail looks. I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

#10I am actually surprised how well the SDR suspension handles on bumpy roads...to a point but then we are talking very bumpy stuff. Then you just have to slow down (while GS BMWs just continue ). But norwegian roads are shit compared to the roads in the US (at least the ones I have ridden/driven) so should be less of a problem for you...maybe
I haven't ridden the SD so can't compare but guess SDR really only makes sense if you do track rdiding as well. 100-200miles is fine, 300-400miles is to much on that seat (so I change it for the standard SD seat for long trips).
Have the '07 SDR so not the stronger '08 motor (though, close after installing PCIII).
