Good link! learning a few things, half way through the vid now, just in the process of setting up my bike so invaluable
Post of the year
So if my bike is bottoming out at cadwell over the bumpy corners its the compression that needs adjusting? hopefully when I correct the sag with my new springs I have fitted will be much better anyway.

I see now why they push the bike up and down in checking the rebound and now get how rebound works.

When they say high and low speed compression its two different settings, so does this mean turn one for a high speed setting and one for low speed setting or is it, one changes the compression for high speed bumps and the other for low speed bumps?

Seen that vid on the R1 forum.....need to sort mine out now.
I have watched many of the videos. Mostly so I don't feel like an idiot whilst Dave is explaining his adjustments to my suspension. He charges $40 to set up and adjust your suspension for the whole day. $60 for the race weekend I believe. He really gets down to it and then checks your tyre wear after each session. I would be lost without him.
I would like to point out that when I first was riding on the track, I didn't know how to explain what was happening with my suspension when asked. As I have gotten faster, I have been able to tell Dave (or Jason on the Trivalley Team) what was going on. They would make small adjustments. Then I would be more confident and pick up a few seconds....new problems.
GoGo squirrels around the track a full 10 seconds faster than me so he has many more issues, which he seems to have sorted.
I guess the point I am trying to make is that I have learned that there are no "ideal" suspension settings. Each person will want different feel and response and a lot depends on how fast you are. I am finally starting to lap at respectable speeds and those tweaks have never been more important.
By the way, Dave "keeps it real"! He races a Triumph!
Be sure to search OTT for all of his videos.

Sorry. Thought I put the Race Tech link here. I did put the link in the "wanted" post I referred to.
Unless you just want an certain color spring, there is no reason to pay for a KTM part. The Eibach I got from Race Tech retails at $129.
Here is the link for the calculator:

Superdan - Your sag numbers seem just about ideal. Yeah, more comp - and maybe some more rebound too (you didn't state if it just squats, or wallows up and down). Try a click or two at a time. You want to have some squat - especially on pinned-throttle exits or launches. Otherwise, you'll get more spin up than desired (not to mention a greater propensity to wheelie when you may least want it). Good rubber is expensive.

And gents - I'm guessing this is posted 50x elsewhere - you can download the WP "Owner's Manual" from the WP site:

They also have a decent troubleshooting guide:
