Tail Pack??

Riding to Laguna Seca this year on the SD and need a little luggage capacity. We're boxing most of our clothes and such and sending them up via UPS. Still need to carry a few things on the bike though and was thinking a medium sized tail pack would do the job nicely.

What are you guys running? I'm looking for one that does not touch the paint at all (one that attatches to the seat only) and can hold about 15L.

Kriega everytime for me best luggage ive had so far

I have a size small Motofizz that works well on the SD. May hold more than you want, though.

I just bought and used the Kriega US30 tailpack, was awesome. Very stable, then straps easily removed to ride bike around track. Could be a bit bigger though. To go away for more than a weekend probably need a tankbag as well.

I was riding wearing my leathers and boots.

Apparently these are now reasonably stocked so when purchased received within a week from Infinity Motorcycles.

Kriega John. I have the US 5, 10, 20 and 30. A size for every occasion as it were.

The US 5 is not very useful. Its really suited for dirt bike use.

I generally ride with the US 10. It has enough room for tools, a small pump, tyre repair kit, a litre of Gatorade or my jacket liner, and various other bits. The US 20 will swallow quite a bit more, and you can combine the 10 and 20 to make a 30. I also have the new US 30 stand alone. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it will hold quite a bit.

I could probably be bribed to loan you my US 20 or 30 for your trip.

Try before I buy....I like it. Name your price Crotch.

Do you have any photos of the US-20 mounted? I think I read it can be used as a back pack as well. Is this the case?

I have a Chase Harper. It was made in St Barbara by Mr Harper himself. He now resides in Ventura and can make a quick disconnect tail that buckles to custom straps that screw into the passenger strap bolts. Not water proof so I spray my cloting with Thompsons Water Seal if it is going to rain. I am not nuts on the bag but I love the quick and sturdy connection. Beats the bungee and trash bags, but doe'nt look as cool.

That's why I am considering the Ventura...quick release mounting via their seat bra.

I have their rack system which can facilitate 50L worth of stuff but the moounting bracket I have is off my old GSX-R1000. I went to order the brackets for the SD a couple years ago but unfortunately they only work with the stock silencer. That POS is not going back on my bike. Anyway, good quality stuff. But I'm willing to give Kreiga a try.
