wats ppls thougths on these?
might get a pair to replace my Sidi's
They used to be Gaerne boots, then they changed the name to TCX. Don't know why exactly?

I have a pair for the road, seven years and still going strong! Bought another pair for the track a couple of years ago, been through one crash no probs.

I recommend them.
They rock! I have a pair, which replaced my Alpine stars and they are much better. Real quality item. Recommended.
Just found out from a mate that they the TCX GTX infinity goretex, which are the touring boot
I thought TCX were originally Oxtar, not Gaerne, Gaerne still make boots under Gaerne as far as I know, I bought a new model from them not long ago and TCX were already on the market.

The original Infinity GTX gore tex boot did win some tests on best all weather boot, I planned to get some but none of my local shops stocked them, I found a dealer now close enough but don't really ride in all weather anymore so never did get round to buying them.
Not sure about the gtx model, but I have a pair of "Oxtar" racing boots, now know as "TCX" thanks to a lawsuit by alpinestars for name infringement. ??? "Astars" Sounds similar, right?.
Anyway, they are very good boots and have held up well over several crashes. On a side note, I have a pair of Garne boots, which were decent, but the hardware was not well thought out. Screws were used to hold on the buckles, which would eventually back out and get lost somewhere on the track. IMO the Oxtars (TCX) were / are a superior boots.
