#16He is going to mark it as gift, I have though in the past still had to pay tax on items marked as gift but either way I was still going to buy it as after tax it would still save me about £60 on the uk price as there doesn't seem to be any uk shops selling cheaper that retail, Freestylers mate excluded of course.
If it does get through then I'll be laughing all the way to the track but I'll be happy whichever.
Thank god I work from home, that way I get a chance to check it out and then hide it from the mrs before she gets home from work, at least until I sell some of my gixer stuff to "pay for it"
I might even send it to one of you lucky beggars to try out for me if you're getting on track before I am

#26Woohoo, no tax hit either, £25 gift, thankya very much seller.
Also checking out the GoPro website they ship internationally to both retail and resellers so it appears as if warranty won't be a problem either but hopefully I'll never have to find out.
One thing I was disappointed with but kind of expected was too good to be true was that they advertise that you can charge and record at the same time on your vehicle but as I suspected you can't get to the usb port to charge it while it's in the polycarb box and if it's not in the box there's no way to mount it, so in reality the only way you can really use it on a vehicle with it plugged in is to make your own mount and leave it unprotected, in other words the best you can probably hope for is a bit of velcro on the bottom on the dashboard of your car where it won't be so exposed, not quite the way they put it in the ad is it.
Obviously they want to protect the integrity of the box but there are ways to do it and still do that.
It's not really a big deal as I already figured it wouldn't be that simple, if they bring out the expansion battery pack before the Cadwell 2 dayer then I might go for that if the price is right, otherwise I may just buy a spare battery instead, which I may even do anyway as it's not as if I'm ever gonna be recording anything longer than 2.5 hours in one go anyway, there's nothing I could do for that long that I or anyone would want to watch, unless I go out with Ducati Pete of course
Hopefully my new SD cards should turn up tomorrow as I've got none fast enough at home for it to run with and I didn't get round to ordering till yesterday.
Did take a picture with a basic SD card just to see it working though.
Can't wait to try it on the bike although according to the instructions the 3m is supposed to be mounted at room temperature and not exposed to the cold for 12 hours or something stupid so not sure how the hell I'm gonna manage that one in this weather
