I want to thank all of my brothers and sisters here on the forum for many reasons. A big one is making the parting out of my beloved SD race bike pretty damn easy. I didn't have to resort to craigslist or ebay or any of the other places that a teeming with losers. I was spared the pain of those site because some of you lot purchased so much of my bike's parts.
I got to meet a few of you in person too!
Today a guy came by and bought what was just a hulking mess of a once bad ass motorcycle.
I do still have a few bits in the "parts for sale" column that I would like to see gone. Offers??

I also want to thank you all for the words of encouragement as I struggle with my injuries and try to have some semblance of recovery.

An American website which is very popular, which I love and who also happens to sponsor my team, they have started a new forum called "Riders on the mend".
Bay Area Riders Forum or BARF
I have been asked to share my story as it unfolds and thought some of you may wish to follow the story as well.

I am writing Chapter 3 at the moment and see the doctor Friday so I will have a Chapter 4 very soon, no doubt.

Thanks again to all you SD'ers!!
Hope nothing but the best for you.
Don't worry you will be riding again sooner than you think
I enjoyed meeting you, Rob. I hope you mend well and are out walking and riding very soon.
We are all hear for ya buddy! I had heard many things about your accident, but never saw your write-up about what all had happened... You are an incredibly lucky guy, and it sounds like you have an amazing lady to help you through the times as well (keep that one around )
I hope that you have a great recovery with minimal side-effects afterwards! I definitely look forward to keeping up with your story.
Take Care!
SAM
Hang in there Rob. You survived and will be back in the saddle in no time.
You gave me a great reason to smile.. TU Rob... Your a pleasant fellow to help out.
Take care, your well on the healing path and just think in the later part of the year when you

Grendel knows a big spirit when he sees one. And you clearly have the spirit of a giant. You have a fantastic outlook on life and the support of good friends and loved ones. Your mending is mostly done. The rest is just mending the skin and bones part.
I've had the great pleasure of e mailing, talking on the phone and purchasing some great deals from you Rob...You're a one of a kind guy..!!! I always wish only the best for healing up and getting back into the main stream...This site, the SD and it's family still flow in your veins and always will..We'll all keep close tabs on you brother...!!!!
