MOTHERFUCKINGCUNTSHITEPISSFUCKERS!

*deep breath*

Pulled out of my car park this morning as i do every morning, left hand turn onto the road, stalled it, dropped it . R&G's did their job but the corner of the rad hit the kerb. Not bad, all cosmetic damage. Small dent to the corner of the rad, not leaking or anything bad. Has lightly scuffed the fariing along it's edge but it'll smooth out ok.

I'm booking it in already for the 16T front sprocket, I hope this helps with that long 1st gear! I'm still getting used to how many revs it needs from take off....my old bike would launch form 1000rpm, this idles at 1500 and needs more to pull away....it just doesn't sound right so it's taking my a coupla days to get used to it. I was caught off guard with it....I'm usually able to instantly adapt to a new ride but this has taken me a bit longer. I paid for it today big time !!

Need to get that 16T.....and possibly the akras and remap to sort out the snatchy response around town. Trouble is, I dont want the Akras, I want the HP Corse cans, but bloody KTM will VOID my warranty if I dont buy the Akras !!! Is that even legal?? Surely we have consumer rights or sommat that says they cant force us to buy these over priced cans?

Uuugghhhh...I'm still angry about dropping the bike....sorry. I feel the need for some Grendel style action to release some anger...

No reason.

Only to point out that my remarks were not aimed at the HP exhausts but in general. Leo's have proven themselves on a lot of SD to be working fine.

But some fool somewhere could make some insane exhaust that could f.ck up the engine. It would be pretty unjust if KTM had to pick up the bill for that in warranty cost. That was the general point.
Thanks for clarification, I thought that was the point you were making

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post.

Akras, hmm, yeah, we ARE over a barrel but i take your point. SUrely they could endorse some others though, not just one??! It aint THAT hard, and lots of individual companies and people would do it for free I'd bet!!

Starter clutch, er, yeah, it didn't make that sound that time but i tend to get it forst try on start up then 2nd time it's ok. I ALWAYS wait for the FI light to go out (so I know what I'm doing )

Will ask the dealer about it tomorrow. Just gotta get these bits ironed out, then worry free riding I suspect.

Loving it more every day! Especially when it's on it's fooking wheels!!
ok then, here are the pics of the damage.

I asked about the starter clutch today and they said it won't damage anything but it can be replaced by KTM for those customers that ask for it. It's too much to do in one day along with the rest I want done so I'll take it back another day for them to sort out. No biggie as long as it's not hurting anything. It's an awful sound though isn't it !!

I reckon I'll prolly get some paint and just touch up the radiator, maybe try and smooth down the slightly rough edge on the fairing...the biggest shame is, it's kinked the lines of the fairing cos it's right were it mounts onto the radiator!!

Too expensive for me to claim on insurance, I'll lose all my NCB and it'll be a £250 excess anyway! No worries. Just gotta get that small oil leak looked at too...seems to be spilling out the front onto the front spoiler under the rad....it's been doing it since before the drop.....not losing much oil but it's messy and needs sorting, Bracken will look at it next Friday when i take it in.
