Riding into work on Wednesday when I heard a massive POP - fearing the worst but hoping for the best I continued on my way. At the next lights the previous was confirmed. A biker behind me told me that I picked up a nail or something. When he told me that the ultraseal was spraying the rear shock and exhaust I knew it was bad. When I arrived at work which was just a mile down the road to check the tyre and discovered this:

Look at the size of that Bad Boy!



Got a mobile tyre replacement service out to fit a Pirelli Strada which will suit my type of riding better then the D III's (this being Ireland and having to endure the occasional shower)

I've see a picture of a guy who had his rear rim pierced by a massive bolt. Unreal!
Gues I was lucky as it sat in the middle of the tyre and it stayed there preventing the tyre from deflating instantly.
