I am in the process of converting my SD into a track bike and have set myself the challenge of getting 140RWHP and 140KG dry.
For starters Power,
SD to SDR ENGINE SWAP
AKRA Evo TI Full system
Motobox
Should go close to the 140RWHP with the above mods alone some minor engine work should take us over the top.
Weight this may be a little harder we need to lose ~40kg here
Obvious bolt on savings
Akra Ti full system - 9kg
Hard Parts Carbon Tank - if I can find one, 2 or 3 kg
Dymag Carbon Fibre wheels 4 to 4.5 kg
Lightweight Battery 1.5 kg.
Lighter Rearsets - ?
No lights/indicators/mirrors - ?
No gauges - ?
No rear fender - ?
No passenger footpegs - ?
I would say we would go close to 30KG of savings from the above.
Last 10 odd kilos would have to come from replacing bolts/fasteners with Ti and replacement of seat/subframe with a custom monocoque plenty more expensive ideas on how to save weight here,
