Superduke was only sold state side for two years. Right now the value of the bike is down... way down, but what about in the future? Anybody think there’s any collector value or exclusivity of the bike?

I love my SD but get over it guys, its a neiche market and KTM arnt gonna waste anymore efforts/cash on the evolution of the SD - its just the way it is!

The SD is now coming up to 6 years old with only 1 set of real updates when all other manufacturers are now on that 3 year change plan thing

Now they MAY, bring us another naked in time (hoping) but im afraid gents, the SD as far as KTM is concerned is dead

So you no what, fook it, its up to us lot of enthusiasts to evolve it ourselves

I totally love my SDR
After 2009 I started thinking about driving the KTM Superdukebattle
Fun for me is, getting faster on the track. Fast laps = fun

But after one year on a Yamaha R6 I wasnt sure if I would be able to get faster on a Superduke and I wasnt sure what to do

Now, after 2010 and one year driving my SDR nearly as fast as my R6 (which wasnt that slow either) and even faster on some tracks, I loooooove this bike
To show up with this bike on the track and see all the superbike driver with a very confused look, this is great

But like I said, I want to develop, get faster and I think I nearly reached this limit on my sdr

So now in 2011 I have to let her go and will change to a RC8R - 2009

I hope this will be nearly as much fun as my SDR, but Im not sure yet


Im gonna miss my SDR

I have an RC8 but I still choose to take the SD to the track, ok some of it is because it's newer and would get real ugly real quick if I binned it as opposed to the SD which just picks itself up shrugs itself off and says come on then get back on you pussy!!

But I love it on track for the same reasons as most of you, it's just that much more fun when you spank a race rep with it, they're all there in their race rep colours and there race rep leathers giving it large up the straight during the warm up laps and then get a big shock when they get taken in the corner by a big orange street bike or one of my favourites is when they come flying up next to you on a straight bit coming into a corner assuming that you were going to go as slow as them into the corner and start braking earlier and realise that you're not actually braking yet and now they're out of their comfort zone and have to grab the anchors, seen a few go past and through the bales at the chicane at cadwell

I am gonna try and take my RC8 this year just to see how it is cause I haven't done it yet but the SD is still my tool of choice.
