So first time out on the bike (or any bike) since it’s winter hibernation.

Just had two new Rosso Corsa’s fitted, fresh oil, MOT, revived the battery from dead with a borrowed Optimate, lubed the chain and a quick look all round.

I’m off for a full on four day “hunt the perfect SD road” tour of Wales at the end of this week. It occurs to me that I should make some effort to get back into the groove as I haven’t pulled a wheelie for nearly half a year!

Anyway the fuel light was on so I needed some gas and there is a convenient station 12 miles up one of the best biking roads in the area.

Thinks to myself, just a shake down ride, brand new tyres, first time on a bike in months, relax and take it easy. Lets just say it didn’t work out that way , used the whole fresh tank, wheelies, lots of on the stop time and the tyres well and truly scrubbed in

Which brings me to my point, the tyres are absolutely fantastic. I was proper taking the piss, hard on it cranked right over crossing white lines and overbanding, trail braking well into bends, all the things tyres hate and never even the slightest suggestion of a moment. Add to this good stability, linier roll in and out and they are the best, most confidence inspiring tyres I have ever ridden on bar none.

If you don’t have a specific tyre allegiance then you could not do better than fit Rosso Corsa’s to your SD. Honestly they really are fantastic!!
Thanks for the tip

Good to know that the first ride was a blast.

Go on and burnn those babies up, let us know the mileage then
