took the plunge

Well, I finally did it, went out and bought a new unsold '07 SD in Anthracite:

The dealer had the Antrhacite color and Black, the black was nice but looked too shiny, the anthracite is all matte finish, I love it. Got them to throw in a few extras and give me just above dealer cost on the Akra TI and Carbon slipons, they will install and remap for free as well. The dealer was Z racing in Anaheim, Tim is the manager and a great guy, I highly recomend them to anyone looking to buy a KTM. I will pick up the bike on next Saturday, will post new pics then.

Cool, sounds a great deal (just ignore what motodude said ). But if you're anything like me you'll be hankering for what might have been.

Hope you're nothing like me. Got mine in Dec 07 and was planning on trading up end of the year.

Then our wonderful reserve bank mentions they're planning a 2% interest rate hike (yes it's financed, I couldn't save up and wait for 3 facking years! ) so it's belt-tightening time...

Still, having a ball on the one I got, I'm just a selfish ass.

Yup, I tried to get it OTD for $11,800 by quoting him either your deal or someone elses who got a SD from him a couple months ago for $11,880 OTD, he said he remembered those deals and he was willing to take less for them then because he had 4 '07s back then, but with only 2 left he wasn't willing to deal quite as much. I can imagine with only 1 '07 left now the next guy will pay more than I did. Still I think I got a good deal, $12,200 OTD ain't bad, with others on here paying $13,500 and 14 grand for their bikes.
