#20Next to a GSXR or a ZX10 it couldn't pull the cock of a chocky mouse. Just as well the brakes are shit hot.
It also has very useable power, you must have enjoyed the two fast right handers at the end of the lap at Jerez.
I had loads of people remarking how suprised they were at the lap times a naked KTM could do around a full on GP circuit.
It's a good all round package.

#23and over again today,,,,,,,,136 MPH is all I could get with stock gearing,
I never looked at my tach. Now, I carry a KTM tank bag and I am thick,
as to say....... I cannot tuck in as well as others, esp. with the tank bag
in my way, It did not feel like it was as fast as it could go? Maybe take the
mirrors and bag off, and a big bore kit? I dunno, To me that is a little
disappointing, It is rare for any one I ride with to go any faster.

#24Bugger, my buddy went down on his 4 week old gixxer 750 at around 160kph (100mph). No injuries (miracle) but the bike's a dead 'un...

#28I think you might be shocked at how inaccurate the speedo can be

Post 30 by Bodge,
#30On a serious note, I know the speedo is not wholly accurate, but since they all come from the same factory, hopefully the error % will be common to all, considering that tyre swell @ 230 shouldn't be that much of a factor...
So the numbers (albeit overall incorrect) should be comparable... Unless of course the 05/06 has a different error reading to the 07 (and if Stabak has an 05/06 )..........

#31BUT DID IT TO SEE ONLY
This bike is cool till 170 then the speed and the hang on facter deduct from safety and fun

#35If you want more you could try either the original bike's 17T front or get a tuneboy and up the rev limit to 10,000

#45i realise its not what the bike is about coz we all could go faster on a R1 / blade etc.
But just out of intrest what sort of top speeds are you all seeing with what mods,
obviously all speeds are achived on the autobahn or on closed roads/ circuits officer.

#82I got mine to 267 on the speedo recently running the stock 06 gearing.
Do disagree with how smooth it is though. Mine started getting a bit of a weave at about 240!!!
Do disagree with how quick it happenned too. Mine took about 6-7 kilometres to get there and the time from 240 to top took forever.
