Luggage for me is a Bags-Connection tailbag, looks good...and the KTM tank bag. That's enough bagage for me and it's easy to remove when you park up for the night.
Funny how you only got interested in touring after Samh posted the picture of the french bird, Superduke groupie

Just pack what you need for the ride down. I doubt you will need many clothes after that
Ergonomics is great and up to 130kph is no problem, above 150kph is hell. Tank range is not impressive as the SD is thirsty, but you already know that. But people go touring with 916's so we can't really complain, and except in France, there are normally gas stations that are open and/or accept major credit cards

Bought the PacSafe bag, but had to use several extra straps to keep it in place. I guess the best is the Ventura system and use the stock exhaust for touring. I guess we can all live with 3hp less on touring.

Cheers for that gents I think I will go down the Kingvin route (cheers for the link ), but saying that will need a map, so will prob need to buy the KTM tankbag but I dont want it to get in the way too much.

As for fuel I just think I will have to plan my route and work out where I need to fuel.

Thanks

I went for a quick tour around Austria and Switzerland this summer. Some 3000 km in roughly 10 days. I bought a cheap tank bag from my local Lidl and gave it some knife. I cut off the unnecessary magnets etc. and made it to fit the SD's rear.
I also had a KTM tank bag which actually is not for the SD although the dealer said it was... I think mine is for the Adventure.

The picture cannot be seen in the message. It's the first one in the forum's photo gallery (rides and meets).
