Almost time for my first 'tour' on the Superduke.

Leaving in 2 weeks time and getting very excited.

We've got the Friday on track at Spa Francorchamps circuit which is the highlight of the trip for me...

Then a couple of days touring around the Mosel region and a day at the Nurbergring then sadly we have to come home.

Spa looks like a bloody terrifying track on a Superduke LOL
Very jealous mate, when we did it in 08 my SDR was great at Spa but the track made it feel very slow as in places it's big and fast, you will come out of eat rouge at 100+ and should almost top out n the following straight, the little chicane out the back is great for coming out in 2nd gear and wheelying all the way down where the F1 start straight is.
The sd tho is the best bike for the local twisty roads, enjoy
I'm excited and dreading Spa in some ways. In the same way i guess i'm not that keen on Silverstone on it too.

Can't wait for the local roads though
Sounds great - have fun!!
Sounds awesome man. enjoy it.

I'm doing two weeks at the end of August in Spain. also first time on the SD. Let me know how your trip goes and if you have any tips after you return.

What luggage are you using and what accommodation have you got planned?
Nurburgring is awesome as are the local roads around it! Just don't get sucked in like I did! Had a close call resulting in a bit of over the curb grasstracking!

A tankbag stuffed with underwear, socks, passport and a credit card.
Less is more!
We did the same last year and will do it again this august. The SD might not be the perfect bike for Spa but still loads of fun!
I did a 3.10 last year (first track day with the SD) and hoping to get a lot quicker this year

Enjoy!
What tyres are going to be installed for the trip? Might be a good chance to test the new Q3 and give us a review!!
the road from spa to boxhead land is great , you'll love it
Think your poor bike is in for a good thrashing round that track though
You can't beat touring track days! My wife and I are 2500 miles from home now, ready to send a large box of crap we don't need back home.

Those are good tyres but rears only last a few thousand miles. Obviously many factors contribute to wear but when ST tyres typically last me over 5k, less than that doesn't quite qualify them for the "T" portion. But they are cheap and perform very well!
5000 miles for me is 3 years
What you doing for luggage options mate?
Tank bag, KTM one.

funnily I just packed tonight, yes I know its 9 days to go.

1 pair combats, can turn into shorts
3 pair underpants, will ride in 1 piece leathers and football shorts
1 pair flip flops
5 t shirts
5 pairs socks
1 waterproof over suit
1 wash bag, toothbrush etc

That's it.
Take half the T shirts but old ones and toss after use.

Buy new " T"'s as souvenirs.

That last shirt is going to be some sort of sleeveless crop top...

Your mates might not want to be seen with you on that day.
