Track day at Chuckwalla

Just got home from Trackdaz ride at Chuckwalla. Gotta say I have a new favorite track. Place is amazing. Smooth (easy on tyres), flowing and just good fun! Love the turn 8/9 complex and the fast chicane heading into the bowl turn. Waaayyyy too much fun.

Superduke performed pretty well there (busted it's trackday cherry). Was a little apprehensive about how suitable it'd be for a track day and I'm happy to say (at least on this track) it performed better than expected (however, it could use another 25hp to haul my fat arse around - a couple of the 140lb fast guys on 600s were pulling me down the straights a little , no worries though...made it up on the brakes and through the corners). I think I upheld the SD's honor. Didn't get passed all day but passed countless R1s, 1000RRs, 1198s...the lot. I take that back, I did get passed once by my buddy Stu (local fast guy and track marshall), but in my defense he was on a slick shod R1. He did say he had to work for it though

Moral...if you've got reservations about hitting the track on your SD, don't sweat it. The bike can definitely hold it's own. The best part is the other guys comming over to check out what smoked them into and through the corners. Puts a big smile on your face

I'm kinda' jealous John,
The weatherman promised sunny and 40. It was 35 and spitting snow all day. I've checked a few videos of the place and it looks like a cool track.
Sounds like a good time. The smile factor on these things is off the charts for trackdays!
I feel your pain Junkie. Lived in the UK for three years while all my buddies were back here in CA riding their asses off. Made me kind of jealous too.

Hang in there....spring is comming.
My friends and I were supposed to go there this month but I crashed and my buddies never made it, but we will soon enough. Looks like a great track
we do ride our asses off in the uk all year round , it's not for girls our weather a bit of rain sorts out who has balls especially if you live where there are bends
You Britts are crazy. Most of us over here are definitely fair weather riders.
One of the guys from work was just telling me that he saw an SD at that track this past weekend. Guess he was talking about you. He keeps telling to go with him but I still suck at riding.
