Trade my 06 SuperDuke??

Hi guys...
I really need your help on this one...

I am a huge fan of KTM, I currently own a 06 superduke...

My dream bike is the new RC8. But...I cannot afford to buy one and I would like to try a supersport.

Most of my friends we go riding together own four cylinder jap bikes, zx-10r, zx12-r, fazer-1000, cbr-1000rr and so on...I can keep up with them in corners but they go as fast as hell in straights and it is impossible for me to keep up when most of them go 300+...

They are trying to convince me to get the new 08 zx-10r.
It is a very fast bike and it is very improved since last year...

Should I do it??
I really love my superduke but I need something faster.

Wait for the Venom, then you'll keep up on the straights and in the corners. The '08 ZX-10R is a fast bike, but the ergos are so exteme you will have sore a back, neck, and wrists after a half hour of riding. I have an '07 SD, I am coming off an '07 ZX-10R, and sometimes yes, I do miss the wind protection and effortless speed of the Ninja, but the SD overall is a better bike for my kind of riding, and so comfortable I can ride all day. Extreme ergo superbikes are fun for a little while, but then youll be wishing for a more comfortable bike. But the biggest difference is that the SD is just the most fun bike there is to ride, and the Jap bikes are so much more, whats a good description, "serious" to ride, but not as much fun.

If your friends are driving so fast on their litre bikes that you cannot follow them on your SD (driving skills equal), they are in my opinion driving way to fast on public roads.

Not much can get away from a SD up to 150 km/h and faster than that should only seldom be neccessary on public roads.

I have both a zx10 (07) and a Fireblade (06) but there is no way I'm faster on puclic roads on these compared to my SDR - its rather the other way around on most "interesting" roads.

Comfort is another issue as already mentioned by sdrfreak

Keep the SD is my advice and try to convince your friends to drive on roads with more curves
