At least the bike is now insured which is a good start and now have to get garage security soted in the next few days. Gonna get an alarm and some security lights. If after that let them have it

#9I've heard some more subtle and simple security tips:
The one I do is keep a baby monitor in the garage.
The one I want to do next is get one of those Door-bells where the bell-push is a radio transmitter and the bell plugs in the mains: set up the bell push so that it transmits when the garage door opens (needs a roller-micro-switch or magnet switch to replace the bell-push switch).
I've got a radar add-on to a car burglar alarm that I might wire to a bell-push transmitter so that if anyone walks near the garage door, the bell rings...
is a link to a cheap one. The radar may not go through metal garage doors to put it above or beside the door and it will trigger when someone walks near (More reliable than Pyro-electric detectors).
I need to watch the Home Alone DVD again for more tips...

#10as many may know here I had a 06 gsxr 750 that I had possession of for all
of 60 days, after that I had an alarm installed in my garage and I have about 27 layers of security for the pumpkin.....as a last resort I sleep with 2 loaded pistols 38+9mm. I have hi security chains X --4 that are cemented to my giant industrial cast iron floor drain...like a manhole cover with 2" cement to hold it down, so there is not any way I think they can do me again. so my thinking is to over do it not worry about "if they can penetrate" and if they do and I am at home well they may get hurt? I put 2 chains to the frame and 2 to the wheels, good luck mr, stealer cos you wont get here from there.

#13All you need to eat is (rolled oats in syrup, butter and brown sugar). If you haven't eaten, chomp one down before you ride.
I keep one in my Bike jacket pocket in case of emergency: if you have a crash your body uses up energy fast; if you're still capable of eating something it really helps to have a small flapjack and a small bottle of water. Folk I've been with who have crashed always complain of thirst and hunger long before help arrives, even to the extent of trying to send me away to look for a shop! (and no, it wasn't my fault that they crashed)!

This defends my garage, someone will have to make a lot of noise to get in. Great idea. Have a few other security devices.
But if someone really wants to get in they always will.
However I hate to say it but they will probably be back in my experience.

I am riding every day now and lovin it. and locking the crap out of the pumpkin every nite,
I think my neighbors think Ive lost my mind locking up like this every time I retire. takes about 10 min's just to put her to bed safely. then 10 min's to get her out, but I will blow a vein if they steal from me again, so that is the price I pay for security, after my last theft,
I am never gonna be ready for that to ever happen again.
the whole time I was healing she had to stay at my shop with very little security, so now I may be able to get some sleep in the recliner,
my neighborhood is very nice but you can't get away from the theives.
