Tune Ecu and Dyno Run today.. not so good

Well some may have seen that I was going to get my bike on the dyno to see how things were with the afr. I have never been or bothered about what the HP is (says a man who has a 720 bhp car lol ) My main reason was to check the AFR, as i have always been worried about using other maps etc

So anyway

My set up

07 SD
Akra slipons
Motohooligan Airbox
SAS removed
Motohooligan 2ndry Flies

and using tuneecu this map

So to the bit you all wanted to know.. well not good news really. it was running really lean !!.

I will post up he plots when i have scanned them in, but from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm its 17 on afr. 3000 rpm to 4000 rpm from 17 gradually to 14. then from 4000 rpm to 5000 rpm drops to just over 13 (bang on ) then from 5000 rpm to 7000 rpm it goes rich to nearly 12, then from 7000 rpm to 9800 rpm it goes lean ish again to mid 13s so not to bad there

So I am in two minds now, find someone who will tune using tuneecu in the london area, they bit thats fustrating is there is no live tuning with it, if there was it would be perfect. Or go down the old trusted route of the Power commander. For the mean time i will put the stock ktm akra map on it as its as rich as hell

I have my car tuner from the states over next week so may get him to look at it aswell.

I am not slatting craigs map, so please dont think i am, it is just not good for my bike, which is a shame. I have noticed though opening up the map that some of the values in the table you can see where it goes lean, from the 35% at 2000 to 3000 rpm right through to 100% throttle between 2000 rpm and 3000 rpm.

Oh and it pulled 110.7 and 68.45 ftlbtq

I have the same setup less the motobox for now, and running the same map. Mine is probably a bit closer without the box, but it doesnt suprise me that the a/f isnt straight with all variables to consider... I was wanting to dyno my bike and try different maps with tunnecu to see how they compare to each other and their respective a/f's and output numbers, you kinda beat me to it.

yeah no problems, its always good to see how the maps are one different bikes,

funny enough just spoke to my yank buddie and he said easy fix, so he better get his ass in gear and tweak it

I'm sure someone found a dyno that is willing to use TuneECU in the London area.

klink, i know i hope i did not imply that, i am not slating any of the maps,

well the guy who dyno'd mine said he would have alook at the software but not yet, he is too bus setting up race bikes and the like
