Right, went there today and first warmed up the BT-021's on the other road to make sure I could tackle the road on the video. Sorry, took no pics because there really isn't a safe place to park basically. I was on my Futura with Mrs.Bef riding pillion today.
Check this link and you'll see that the road in the video is the N929 coming off the N94. The riders are doing it downhill towards Houyet. I watched the video again and the guy on the Tuono is doing it all wrong. He wants to keep up with the KTM so desperately he's revving it way too high. That makes the bike go in too deep and the throttle response makes it run wide. Believe me, I know all about throttle response: I have 2 Aprilia's.
I could tackle most of the hairpins on the Futura in 2nd gear and my perfect mapping (Tuneboy) allowed me to go in under 3k rpm and slow down mid-corner, lean the bike even further and exit on the right line and accelerate early. In slow, out fast.
The road to test your suspension set-up however is in this link: from Celles to Gendron. It is extremely bumpy and although the map doesn't show it, it's got all kinds of corners in it. The bumpiness is what I like because that shows if you've got everything set up well. Needless to say that my highly modded (Technoflex) Futura handled brilliantly there and no way would I ever keep up on my almost stock Tuono. You guys with the WP stuff should give it a try if you're ever in the neighbourhood.
I know my buddy from work will read this (he's about to give up on DAM exhausts. They're giving him the same excuse each time he calls) and will look up these roads if he gets a chance.
