update on rad leak problem

ok, reported my intermitent problem of the spitting of coolant from underneath the bike when i ended a ride and turned off ignition, seemed to empty expansion tank a little every time ! anyway - bought a new rad cap ! when i looked at the strength of the spring on the new one compared to the old one ,it was vastly different ie new one has alot stronger spring ,my old one really weak, try it out on a ride tommorow and report , my bike is an 2009 model with only 7000 miles on the clock so makes you wonder if there basically poorly made and dont last long or i got a shit one !

Mine started to pee abit of coolent out of the expansion tank over flow and into my bellypan so id be interested to see if this cures the problem!

Mines a 2005 so i guess my rad caps quite old and worn anyway!

i paid £10.50 , but seen em on internet for 7.50, but it was local and quick, will post reply as soon as tested , needs a ride out to see what happens, was hoping today sunday but have knackered me knee sat! doh!
