Vegas - Your thoughts please

Ok as some of you may know I am joining a trip from Toronto to Vegas with 2 other blokes. My concern is, obviously like everyone else I like to go on bike trips that challenge me a lot and present some beautiful riding roads. My concern is that this is close to 4000 km one way and I know a lot of it is going to be boring but for those that know Vegas and surrounding areas is it worth it for me? Will a be on some breathtaking, exciting roads or is it pretty much straight line brain numbing stuff? Obviously it may depend on the route but I assume there are only a certain amount of ways to get there from Toronto. I am looking for constructive opinions and thoughts as I value all your views. If it really isn't worth it in relation to a riding experience then I wont bother. Time is precious for all of us so I really need to pick my trips carefully, it sounds exciting but I have no insight. Cheers for your help. The plan is to leave Sept 11th so I don't have a lot of time to make up my mind.

Not a lot of great roads unless you hit Wyoming/Colorado/Northern New Mexico/Northern Arizona/Utah.

Vegas is flat & silly, but going across Utah/ N. Az will be nice. Avoid "I" (interstate) roads at all costs.

It'll be snoozeville until you get to Colorado. Get a cruise control thing for your right hand. And satellite radio.

I'd do the gap instead - that whole area is a motorcycle roller coaster. But I can't stand even an hour of boring riding so, given your prior long trips, you should discount my opinion.

If you decide to pass through Utah, I can hook you up with some of the best roads here (anywhere for that matter). One spot in particular has almost no local gendarm to speak of, and my favorite scenic backroads. Let me know and I will put you together some Google maps, and depending on when you come through I may join you for a spin...
