I recently had about 30mins on some of the best roads in Scotland on my mate's 07 SD. I'm converted. I really want one of these bike, but just cant afford it. So i looked at old Tuono's etc, but they were piles of crap, and eventually decided an 04 Kawasaki Z750 was the most bike i could get for my money (which wasn't a lot!!). I got an 04 with only 1600miles for a really good price, and it'll do me untill the 06 models come down in price through the used market.
So i'll cut to the chase. I've been on various forums but this is the only one i've found that had the same mentality as myself. Everywhere else seems interested in top boxes, panniers and tyre life. I'm interested in knee down, peg scraping and wheelies . General hooliganism and using the bike for what it's meant for.... not sitting in the garage making noises on and bumming down the pub like 90% of the thou sportsbike guys i've met. .
I've been learning to wheelie and only 2 days ago went out and decided i wasn't coming home untill i'd taught myself to clutch it up. The Z doesn't have the grunt of the SD, and it all get a bit wild from 9000 to 13000, so the clutch seemed like the smoothest option.
i perched my mobile on a few fence posts, beer cans, ever jammed it in my helmed between my nose and the visor to try and get a few vids to see how i was doing. Thought i'd post it up for you guys to slate/ripp the piss/ give advice or whatever. ( Hopefully give advice )
Cheers. G
